FEUERTANZ

FEUERTANZ was commissioned by the Musikkapelle Hafling for the 60th anniversary, which was celebrated in 2010. The premiere took place at the Easter Concert of the Musikkapelle 2010 under the direction of Markus Müller. FEUERTANZ is a concert work inspired by Nordic folk music with a dance character. Main Component is the initial theme, which, as the work progresses, is repeated in varied form by different groups of instruments. The percussion register is strained by the use of a large number of instruments.
